1956 Ford Dreambird 1:24 from Franklin Mint/ Hofbauer Crystal 24 % leaded crystal glass with 24 K Gold trim. I am told this is 1 of a few cars made like this with Gold electroplate trim but I have been unable to confirm how many were made. Hofbauer a famous German crystal maker is out of business since 1990’s and there quality items remain very collectible. Great display for any office or man cave and a real conversation piece. 1956 Ford Dreambird 1:24 from Franklin Mint/ Hofbauer Crystal 24 % leaded crystal glass with 24 K Gold trim. I am told this is 1 of a few cars made like this with Gold electroplate trim but I have been unable to confirm how many were made. Hofbauer a famous German crystal maker is out of business since 1990’s and there quality items remain very collectible. Great display for any office or man cave and a real conversation piece. Hofbauer is still active but together with Nachtmann they produced a variety of cars, trucks, trains and planes as a celebration to popular transportion – specially the cars. They only made these cara between 1987-1989 – some of them in many thousands and some very limited like the Landrover Discovery and Audi A6 Avant.
