Description

GMP Penske Chevy Lola T70 3 race car collection in 1:43 scale, driven by Mark Donohue. The cars are approximately 4 inches long and presented as a limited edition in a collectible gift box. The wooden box has a surface crack on the top.

The set commemorates Mark Donohue, Roger Penske, and Can-Am race cars. There were six Can-Am races in 1967, when Mark finished fourth in the points standings. Donohue won the 1968 Trans-Am Championship with 10 wins in 13 races in his Sunoco Penske Camaro. He won the Indy 500 in 1972 and set a World Closed Course Speed Record at Talladega in 1975 at 221.120 MPH in a Porsche 917-30. Donohue was killed a few days later in a practice crash for the Austrian Grand Prix.
