SOLD 1940’s McCoy 60 Blue Head Duro-matic Hot Rod tether race car. Made in USA. First seen in Jan -Feb 1947 issue in Rail and cable magazine. Modeled after the Ford Model A- V8 roadster complete with 1942 grille to look like the popular Muroc Dry Lake V-8 roadster. Dick McCoy started designing for Duro-matic two weeks after the war ended. Dooling and McCoy/Duro-matic cars were the most prolific for that era. Duro-matic wheels rear tires and knife edge fronts. Features custom painted flames, fuel proof paint, complete electronics, tank and shut off switch. Will need wiring finished to run. Good investment adult toy rarely seen in this condition. 15 inches long, The geared Blue Head engine has high compression, and car 8 1/2 in wide. FREE SHIPPING as always.
