1924 Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix race car. This artist-made resin rendition of the vintage auto racing collectible measures 14 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches tall, and sits on a custom labeled wood stand. In 1924, Bugatti designed and built this car, which helped make him a legend. While racing success was not immediate, sales were brisk. Initially reluctant to use a supercharged engine, he relented and added a Roots blower to the 2-liter design.

From 1927 to 1931, Bugatti’s blue cars dominated racing. The Type 35 proved to be one of the most successful race cars in history. French driver Rene Dryfus stated, “You can put the car wherever you wanted, the holding was fantastic.” The car took the Grand Prix World Championship in 1926 after winning 351 races and setting 47 speed records in the prior two years.
