1948 Indian Chief race motorcycle #7 in the larger impressive 1:6 scale with labeled wood stand. 14 inches long in very good condition is a rare find. In the early years Indians were the fastest. Eventually Harley Davidson caught up and the fight was on. The high banked board tracks produced speeds of over 100 MPH for the purpose built racers. The V Twin engine originally displaced 37 cu. in.and was increased to 45 cu, in. in 1927 in response to the excelsior engine. In 1932 a heavier frame was added and in 1942 Military Models were added.
