Jim won the Indy 500 in 1965 coupled with two World Championships in 1963 and 1965. He was killed at age 32 in a Formula 2 racing accident in Hockenhiem Germany in 1968. At the time of his death he had won more Grand Prix races (25) and achieved more GP Pole positions than any other driver. Arguablly one of the best of all time.
