THANKS FOR LOOKING THIS CAR IS SOLD Custom Built from vintage Pickard 30 Bantam Midget design plans. These scale plans were first released in 1938 and again in 1980. They were also featured in Ames’ “Vintage Miniature Racing Cars” . Phantom 30 engine with good compression. Engine serial # is N3830 which I believe makes it a 1947. An interesting feature of this tether car is working steering as it was designed to help eliminate a spin as stated in original plans. Great older superb build but I am not sure of date. This car is complete less electronics and fuel tank. Leather seat, custom wheels, tires, flywheel, needle valve and front and rear bumpers. The radiator cap and fuel cap are real brass threaded caps. There are untold long hours of great craftsmanship in this rare race car. The car measures 20 inches in length with an 12 inch wheel base. The wooden body and frame has almost perfect blue and silver paint with no damage. Powered thru the rear wheels this car also displays beautifully. Made in USA you can own a piece of vintage tether car history. There are many reproduction out there but this is the real deal. This is an untested adult toy.
