SOLD 1940’s Matthews V car tether race car stream liner complete. Car is 17 inches long and was the first brand to break 100 MPH on the track. This survivor is in good original condition. Percy Matthews owned the Matthews Foundry in Fresno, CA. He bought a gas powered tether car in 1938. He quickly became disenchanted with its performance and started designing his own cars.
