ohnny Rutherford 1975 Indianapolis 500 2nd place race car M16 McLaren Gatorade #2. This 10 inch car is in excellent condition with original box and COA. Rutherford was in his second year with McLaren when he returned to the Brickyard for the Indy 500 in 1974 and won the big race. This was the same car for 1974 and Johnny was leading on lap 165 when he made his scheduled pit stop. Bobby Unser took the lead and on lap 171 and a rain down pour ended the race. Rutherford had to settle for second but altogether he won on four occasions.The engine cover is removable and reveals the Turbo Charged Offy engine and cockpit.
