This was a great car and year for Jackie as he won the World Championship by victories in 6 of the 11 races. He also won the Championship in 1970. Two F1 drivers lost their lives in 1971. Jo Siffert in a non championship event in Brands Hatch and Pedro Rodriquez in a Inter series race at the Norisring.
