CAR IS SOLD 1940’s Peerless 1st design wood body tether race car was made in Cleveland, Ohio. Powered by a Forester 29 ignition engine with all the electonics necessary. This racer is the early design with the round rear end case. It was one of the best looking scale racers of the time. The Peerless Model Airplane Company entered the racing Frey with a kit car intended for the smaller displacement engines. Every manufacturer wanted to have the fastest car and all tried to out run each other. It was a golden era for tether car racing and engines, cars, tires, and fuels developed quickly. This car is approx 15 inches long and is complete with electronics, .29 Forester engine with good compression, tank, fuel proof paint, and tether bridle.
