Description

Don Branson Offy Dirt Champ race car GMP Limited Edition Series 1:12 scale Offy dirt champ race car. This GMP Wynn’s Friction Proofing Special #7906 is from a limited production run. Detailed paintwork and construction capture the race car at approximately 14 inches long and 5 inches wide.

In 1965, questions surrounded Branson’s age, stamina, and health, but none of it showed on Labor Day at DuQuoin, Illinois. AJ Foyt started on the pole with Branson alongside him, and although Foyt took the lead, Branson passed him on the fourth lap. The home-state driver pleased the crowd and car owners AJ Watson and Bob Wilke with the victory, one of three wins that year.

Factory hold-down screws remain in place for safety. The inner liner and both boxes are in very good condition.
