Early-1900s-style live steam model car measuring 15 inches long, with active steering and a handmade unpainted driver. Made in the UK by an experienced craftsman and supplied with instructions.
Early 1900’s steam working powered car with unpainted driver 15 inches long. This is a Mamod based car made in UK by an experienced craftsman. Features include a live steam engine, active steering, hand made and unpainted driver and instructions. From 1906 -1911 steam power developed more available horsepower, a Stanley steam powered car held the land speed record at 127 mph for 5 years. The gas and electric cars became more powerful and the electric starter helped. The use of steam ended except commercially in trains and large equipment. I was told the car is operational, looks lightly used if any, but untested by me. Extreme caution is recommended as some pieces get very hot and pressurized. This is not a child’s toy and the adult operator should be familiar with dangers, proper lubrication, running and safety procedures. Use live steam at your own risk of injury and proper accessories are needed. Makes a great conversational decor or art piece in any office or man cave. Please check photos as they are part of the description and this is the car you will receive. This is a great one of a kind collectible and sure to be a good investment toy. This car weighs over 8 pounds but ships FAST AND FREE IN US. Buyer pays return shipping costs. No international shipping at this time because of the weight. Your Satisfaction is our Goal…….Buy with Confidence.
