1965 Clymer Indy 500 yearbook Jim Clark Colin Chapman 212 pages photos stories
$ 89.99
1965 Indy 500 yearbook a yearly publication by Carl Clymer. 212 pages of stories photos and diagrams highly detailing the 1965 Indy 500 race and activities won by Jim Clark in his Ford Lotus 38. The Lotus was innovative for a few reasons as Colin Chapman’s design was the first ever to use the rear engine to win Indy. It was significantly stronger and lighter than traditional designs. Jim won the Indy 500 in 1965 coupled with two World Championships in 1963 and 1965. Tragically, he was killed at age 32 in a Formula 2 race.

At the time of his death he had won more Grand Prix races (25) and achieved more GP Pole positions than any other driver. Arguably one of the best of all time.
