Description

1962 Pontiac race car driven by Fireball Roberts and prepared by Smokey Yunick for the NASCAR Grand National Series. This approximately 12-inch ERTL race car is a 1:18 scale model in its original box, with detailed color and finish.

Only 2,000 were produced. The car is in very good condition; the box shows some wear. Protective plastic remains on the doors for shipping, and a trading card is included.

Fireball Roberts won two major Daytona races in 1963: the February race and the July race. Over 15 years, Roberts ran 206 races, earned 33 wins, 122 top-10 finishes, and 32 poles. He finished in the top five 45% of the time and in the top 10 59% of the time. Roberts was fatally injured in a crash at the World 600 at Charlotte in 1964.
