Description

Floyd Clymer “Enduro” safety helmet from the 1940s–1950s racing era, size small. DISPLAY ONLY — NOT FOR USE. Made in France, this helmet has a fiberglass shell and leather components that remain in good condition for their age. The fiberglass has an age-related crack on one side. Floyd Clymer was known for automotive publishing from the 1930s–1970s and for promoting safety; his helmets received U.S. safety awards and were used by police departments and race drivers in the 1940s and 1950s. Includes copies of vintage ads and a foam display head. Recommended for display only. Please check photos as they are part of the description.
