Description

Johnny Rutherford 1975 Indianapolis 500 second-place M16 McLaren Gatorade No. 2 race car model. This approximately 10-inch model is in excellent condition and includes its original box and certificate of authenticity.

Rutherford was in his second year with McLaren when he returned to the Brickyard for the Indy 500 in 1974 and won the race. The same car was used in 1974. In 1975, Rutherford was leading on lap 165 when he made a scheduled pit stop. Bobby Unser took the lead, and a rain downpour ended the race on lap 171. Rutherford finished second; he won the Indianapolis 500 on four occasions.
