Removable Hood Reveals Offy 255 cu. in. Engine Detail

Description

GMP 1960’s Rodger Ward Dirt Champ race car in 1:18 scale, presented in its original box with a COA. This white race car measures approximately 9 inches long and is in very good condition. The hood removes to reveal the Offy 255 cu. in. engine detail.

Rodger Ward was a P-38 pilot in World War II and began racing midgets in 1946. His first Indianapolis 500 race was in 1951. In 1959, Ward joined Leader Card Racers with Bob Wilke and A. J. Watson; they were known as the 3 W’s. Ward won the first of his two Indianapolis 500 victories and the USAC Championship, then ended 1959 by competing in the only U.S. Grand Prix held at Sebring, Florida.
