1967 Lotus 49 Jim Clark F1 race car 1:12 large scale Lotus 49 Automodello 12C010

$ 799.99

1967 Dutch Grand Prix winner Jim Clark in large 1:12 scale by Automodello. Includes original box, display case and cover, COA and paper work as this is one of only 499 made very limited edition. The larger 12 inch long scale is very impressive and detailed. World class hand painted automotive finish British racing green and graphics on this resin closed model. The Lotus 49 was innovative for a few reasons as Colin Chapman’s design was the first ever to use the engine as a fully stressed member in F1. It was significantly stronger and lighter then tradition designs. The benefits were apparent immediately and Clark won 4 F1 races and the Lotus 49 sat on Pole position in every race it entered in 1967. Jim won the Indy 500 in 1965 coupled with two World Championships in 1963 and 1965. Tragically, he was killed at age 32 in a Formula 2 racing accident in Hockenhiem Germany in 1968. At the time of his death he had won more Grand Prix races (25) and achieved more GP Pole positions than any other driver. Arguably one of the best of all time. This car is 12 inches long and will make a great add to any collection. SHIPS FAST AND FREE IN US.
